(SACRAMENTO, CA.) – Today, Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount) announced Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia’s (D-Coachella) appointment to Chair the California State Assembly Committee on Water, Parks, and Wildlife.

(SACRAMENTO) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia urges local businesses to apply for job creation tax credits through the state’s California Competes program. The state is authorized to award over $100 million in tax credits this fiscal year to small, medium and large companies across the state.

(CORONADO) Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) was honored to receive the 2016 Alternative Accountability Policy Forum’s Vision Award. Every year, Reaching At Promise Students Association (RAPSA) awards a policy maker for their work toward creative policy solutions to engage and retain students left out of traditional school programs.

(COACHELLA) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia will host a public meeting to discuss the New River and the State of California’s plan to address this long standing environmental issue in Imperial County.  This is the second meeting this year that will provide an update to the community given allocated funding to address this public health and safety concern.

(El Centro) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella), Chair of the Assembly Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy Committee (JEDE), with Panorea Avdis, Director of the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation (IVEDC) held a Small Business Resource Fair today in El Centro.

(El Centro) – Assemblymember is pleased to announce his office will be hosting a small business resource fair in partnership with the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation.

The event will be held this Thursday, September 29th 2016 at the El Centro Old Office in El Centro.
